Context

EANM is the European Association of Nuclear Medicine. They needed a website that presents their field as something modern with career opportunities, not a closed-off technical world. At the start, there was a graphic concept from a colleague, built around the motif of molecules and circles. My job was to turn that into a real product. The client didn’t have a clear picture of where exactly the site was heading, so I shaped the brief on the fly, together with the team.

A static visual would look cheap here. Animation wasn’t decoration, it was the core element of the entire identity.

Design and motion

The molecule worked great as a starting motif, but the more pages came in, the harder it was to keep things fresh. We didn’t want it to turn into a “bubble website.” The graphic foundation was deliberately simple, motion gave it energy. We designed animations from the start, not at the end. I sketched out scenarios, we tuned timing and behavior with the team. The client kept changing requirements along the way, some screens were reworked multiple times. It was a longer road, but the result holds a consistent visual line across the entire site.

Result

A community and career platform that looks fresh and consistent. One visual concept carried across dozens of screens without repeating itself. Animations as a core part of the identity, not an afterthought.

TL;DR
  • A modern community and career website for a field that sounds old from the outside.
  • Molecule concept applied across the entire site, fine-tuned to avoid a repetitive feel.
  • Animations and interactions designed from the start as part of the design, not decoration.
  • The brief evolved during the project. The result maintains a consistent identity across all screens.
